Charles (Male) : 16 years old
He’s the main character in the narrative, trying to escape this hell-ish state that the wooden statue has created and he is motivated by family and friends.
He is a Vietnamese kid in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City, he just entered his third year in high school.
Charles is kind of a nerd, he likes cartoons, playing games, he’s hardworking, smart. He’s too naive and doesn't like being alone.
He’s a naive teenager that will experience horrors that he's never experienced before, he is resilient and has a complex emotional state that will be the factor that pushes him to grow and help him escape the effects of the wooden statue.
John (Male) : 16 years old
John who is Charles best friend, he is quite irresponsible, lazy and they've known each other since secondary school. He is also born and lives in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City. He's quite the opposite of Charles.
